Who am I?
Came to this world to be who I am, as all of us.
This is the short version.
The official version: Giora Carmi,
A board certified art therapist, graduated from NYU. Board certified psychotherapy counselor, and board certified in Integrative Medicine.
Before: An illustrator of more than 40 children’s books, a writer of two. My last book: A Circle Of Friends.
Innumerable illustrations for the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
During the same time: 12 years of intensive practice of Chan meditation.
Before that: 17 years of graphic design and illustration in Israel, worked with numerous companies, wrote and illustrated for children, illustrated for magazines and books.
Always: An artist, some solo and group shows through the years.
Main interest: Who am I, Who are we, what is it all about and how to find it.
And while we are in the process, how to suffer less and less and even less.
To all visitors to this website:
If anyone can dispel suffering and release happiness, amazing art therapist Giora Carmi can! He has the gift that cannot be taught: penetration without intrusion.
A skilled physical therapist uses the body’s inherent capabilities to promote healing. In the same way, art therapist Giora Carmi takes advantage of the calm core that we each possess to promote mental, spiritual, and emotional healing.
Wishing a happy life to all,
Lilian Duval
He is pure sweetness, that is what I can say.
I am delighted you left this link on the linked in page so that I could find your blog.
I will share some of your work and words on my blog with a link back to you if that is permissible.
One of my missions is to share other’s work as inspiration to others.

Yes, Judith, of course I agree. Thank you very much. Giora
This list of five books includes a book of mine, in which I told a story with pictures only. Seeing this link, I feel like the boy in my book “A Circle of Friends”, who shared his muffin and this started a circle of good deeds that ended up as a surprising gift that appeared at his own window. This book keeps giving me surprises. Thai time it surprised me in my blog. I am thankful.
