I look at my last drawing. The shape in the middle feels like a heavy package with several parts, almost floating heavily in a space that seems to be organized like a room on stilts. There is night in the window and a warm light is reflected from the floor. There is something that looks like a toy on the floor.
Let’s look at the package.
I know there is a man sitting, his back supported by a few things.
There is something with a door on the lower right side.
I’ll leave it up to you.
Maybe the man who sits is asleep?
It is night as we can see through the window. There is a sense of being wrapped in a blanket. The room feels like a dream flying above the space that is underneath.
Not real, heavily asleep while sitting, a lot of air comes in through the walls. A river of light breaks through what should have been solid. Isn’t it like a dream?
And when he dreams
The room collapses.
The sky and the earth
Open up
Space that goes to no end
Starts here.
You have to dream
To enter the space
Don’t make an effort
The essence
Of the space
Will carry you
If you have no opinion
You’ll become like the essence
Of the space
Is it good?
Yes it is.
You are already there.
Do you have any more questions?
No.
All the answers come to me.
I know all.
I am all.
Because there is a recognizeable human shape in this most recent post (only joined a few posts ago, so for me it’s new:) was struck by how the abstract painters and to a lesser degree the russian avante garde movement could be relatable. When those emerged on the art scene there was a sense of self, of personhood visible and yet they brought outside form to a higher function. Intuitive art may be, in the healing arts, a groundbreaking expression which will have a tremendous effect on how we perceive our souls.
Thank you, Joni. I do deal with how the sense of self transforms to a sense of the bigger aspect of who we are.
Then, with what else can be discovered in this process.
Indeed if the thoughts and the beliefs that we have create the condition of the body, we can discover these thoughts and release them. The energy will flow through everywhere it has to flow in the body and health will be restored.
And after dealing with this I started to investigate how much more about ourselves we can discover through this process of intuitive art making and reading of the art. Can we realize our freedom?
All that I started with, I am still doing. The discoveries go on and on. Health issues also appear again and yes, a wonderful process of healing quite easily and naturally shows itself, along with the deepening of the understanding of who we are.
Therefore I am so thankful to you for seeing this.
This seems to be the gift that I can share. It has been “cooking” in me for many years.
I hesitated for many years. But it is becoming easy to express and share now.
And what a joy it is.
I do it with people also.
The book that I wrote abut this is now on the syllabus of the art therapy department at NYU.
Congratulations are in order for your writing efforts becoming highly placed and valued!!
Might you give out the name of your book and publisher… I feel most certain a condensed + thorough look into your findings will elevate my own journey. Thank you!
The name of the book is: Opening Intuitive Flow Through Artwork.
It is self published and the publisher’s name that I gave it is: IntuitionThroughArt.com. This is also the name of a website.
If you put my name or the name of the book in the search field of Amazon, you will find it easily.
There is a big chapter about intuition, some theory and a lot of examples of working with people.
I thank you again, Joni.
Just purchased your book from Amazon. The current posted reviews are terrific in and of themselves. Looking forward to my own read.
I sense your writing, like good poetry, holds much that cannot be said only experienced: Rich spaces rising from silence, glimpsed and then returning to it. Thanks for being here
