The drawing was done at 10pm, the painting – in the morning after.
It is like a very big puppet. The head is too big and heavy in the composition. The mechanism is old. It stood outside in the rain and plants started growing on it in some places. You can almost hear the clunking of its mechanism, the screeching of its rusty metal, in friction with other rusty parts. It used to be very beautiful. Some of the paint is still there.
The face is stubborn. Even though parts of it have fallen off, it still insists on moving forward. It works without an operator. It used to be the fascination of the community. Now it only walks alone, with much effort and nobody is watching. It is hard for it to move. The screeching is terrible.
It thinks.
Thinking is the essence of its engine, the oil and the fuel.
And now I know who it is: It is my autopilot.
Hi Giora
To me, it looks like two alien crafts (creatures) making contact. One is on the ground, and the other is flying towards him. They make contact through blue antenna-like structures which touch. The one on the ground seems older and his antenna is bent. The operator of the flying craft looks like he may have left the vessel and is climbing onto the antenna of the other; while the other operator sits and watches from within the safety of his craft. It may be an unfriendly encounter, but might not. I use he, but it could be she.
Interesting that you drew it first, then went back and painted it.
cheers,
carol
Hi Carol,
What a fun thing you wrote!
I think there is no such thing as correct interpretation. The interpretation is the personal way each viewer sees, based on private subconscious material. And even if two people interpret differently, each interpretation is valuable to the interpreter. And what you wrote may be in me and important to you to see.
How about that?
Much love and thank you for the communication.
I immediately saw Saul (on the right) being struck from his horse on the road to Damascus! (God or the Holy Spirit in the upper left).
Just found you through your very interesting article in current issue of Energy Magazine. Am ordering your book.
Cheers.
I take that back. Come to think of it, what I described above was what I saw after reading Carol’s description, which probably influenced me.
