241.What is psychotherapy for me?

img_1488

You choose to be a therapist because you want to see if you can find yourself by going through the filter of another character.

So you spend time with the other character and in the conversation the fences fall. Sooner or later you find yourself through him. And he finds himself through you. Then In the deep place in you that is beyond words, you know that he and you are one.

When you reach this recognition of yourself, through the laughing, the loving, the awakened curiosity that appear, yourself smiles, as if he is a baby that has just been hugged and kissed. And you feel as if you have found a proof of what you have always known, that everything is perfect all the time.

I always knew it, you say.

That’s what psychotherapy is for me.

176. Moving fingers and toes

Microbes

Microbes

In the middle is a package

With a secret

Of unknown consequences

All other things in this picture could be microbes

With a very elaborate social order

And rules of conduct

But in spite of that

They cannot contain their joy

For just being able to move their fingers

And toes

And they keep doing it

Secretly

But since all of them are doing it

They discover each other

In new ways

And through their joyous smiles

Become one

With no beginning

And end

Enfolding endless possibilities

Of love.

148. One

Crossing over

Crossing over

I am coming in carefully

Habituated into making certain movements

Smooth and strong

Listening in the ways that I have learned

Meaning to just cross over

To the other side

But doing this

I have to step on some accepted wisdom

Of the locals

Graceful and wise

They let me pass

Pretending not to pay attention

While they send me a smile

From the corner of their eye

Time passes

With dark nights and windy rains

In spite of being separate

We get wet together

And we realize

That in our separateness

And in the ways that we communicate

We are playing one game

And we are not two

But one.
